Longwarry, also known as the Gateway to Gippsland, is the westernmost town in the Baw Baw Shire. Located 84km east of Melbourne, conveniently on the train line, the town consists of a shopping centre, a recreational reserve, sporting clubs, churches and a school.

Longwarry is becoming increasingly popular with day visitors as it is part of the Gourmet Deli Trail. 

The Longwarry Fire Brigade Market hosts over 200 stalls and offers something for everyone. It is held on the 1st Sunday of every month, excluding January and February.
